*Note: Each day of the group stage of the World Cup 2018 I will be making a meal from one of the countries playing that day. Day 10 was dominated by Germany’s last minute win in stoppage time on set piece by Toni Kroos. South Korea played well but lost to Mexico 2-1.
Beef Bulgogi is a classic South Korean dish with Bulgogi literally meaning “fire meat”. The dish origins seem to be from the northern part of Korea and it is traditionally made as thin slices of beef frilled over a flat top barbecue or stovetop.
Flank Steak (cut into thin slices)
Soy Sauce (5 tablespoon)
White Sugar (2 tablespoon)
Sesame Oil (2 tablespoon)
Cut flank steak into thin slices. Add soy sauce, sugar, chopped green onion, chopped garlic, sesame seeds, and sesame oil.
Grill on high heat until well done. Serve with rice or noodles.
