Table Wine Review: 2014 Edna Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

img_3098.jpg

Price: $12.99-15.99

The Basics: Nose is a fruity of plum and cherry, and very welcoming, palate however is harsh, crisp, mismatched and very disappointing, rough bitter finish with no character. Medium body, high tannins, high acidity

Rating: 75 points

My take: Probably a combination of a subpar wine and maybe being too young to be opened right now?  Either way just not good.

Bottom line: Again (as I say all the time) given the competition there are so many better options it’s hard to recommend this bottle at all.  Maybe in 2-3 years?
